New Orleans Removes Beauregard Statue, and Subdued Crowds Look On

A statue of Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard, a Confederate general born just outside the city, being prepared for removal from its pedestal at City Park in New Orleans on Tuesday night. The monument is to be crated and stored at an undisclosed warehouse.
